Regional Auto Service company Just Brakes, with over 150 service centers mostly in the southern areas of the country, was having troubles getting their arms around their web site.

"We knew our site was getting a lot of traffic," says Chris Coomer, Executive Director of Consumer Affairs at Just Brakes, "but we didn't know how much, or how to take advantage of it. We looked at what competitors were doing, but that was about it."

Referred by one of our clients, Web Site Optimizers was one of the vendors brought on to help. We first set up a comprehensive installation of Google Analytics on the site to begin quantifying things. We identified the most urgent needs that were not being met in terms of site functionality.

One of these was a Service Center Locator to allow visitors to find the nearest service center easily and quickly. We defined the functional requirements for the locator and conducted quality assurance via user testing as it was being developed.

We also were the main coordinator in the development of Just Brakes' mobile site. This included streamlining the content down to the most important pieces to someone who might be experiencing car trouble on the road. Most importantly this included a fast loading mobile version of the store locator with click-to-call buttons.

Finally, we partnered with one of their other vendors to offer online appointment booking for customers to reserve time to take their car in for service.

All of this functionality as well as more is meticulously tracked through the Analytics system we set up, and is reported via an easy to understand Web Site Scorecard that is highly anticipated each month by upper management.
